What I Learned from Doslint

Sometimes you fail – and that’s okay.

Doslint was my attempt to build a platform where people could get support. But honestly, I realized early on that the concept, at least in its current form, wasn’t working. My weak presence on Twitter/X, HackerNews, ProductHunt, and TinyLaunch showed me that a platform like this doesn’t stand a chance without a solid marketing strategy.

I had only one account logged in – and that pretty much says it all.

But that doesn’t mean I’m giving up. Quite the opposite. I’m giving up on Doslint, yes, but not on everything. I’ll be back – with a better product. One you can actually use on your own.

The biggest lesson?

Don’t build a product that depends on others – at least not if you don’t want to (or can’t) market it properly. But I’ve learned one important thing: I can build products. And that’s what truly matters.

Thank you for not just handing me easy confirmation that I was on the right path. It forced me to be honest with myself.

I’m not done – I’ll see you again soon. 🚀

PS: Doslint will remain online until my next product goes live.
